Japan Research Society for Dementia and Oral Function (JRSDOF)

The purpose of the Society is to maintain and promote people's health and to contribute to society through close integration of basic life science and clinical dentistry by elucidating the dynamics of the neural and cellular basis of dementia, in which impairment or decline in oral function may be a risk factor for dementia, and by clarifying the possibility that maintenance of oral function and early recovery from such impairment may prevent or improve dementia, and through collaboration among multiple professions.

認知症と口腔機能学会 (JRSDOF)

本会は、生命科学と臨床歯科医学との緊密な融合により、口腔機能の障害や低下が認知症の危険因子となり得る神経・細胞基盤の動態を解明するとともに、口腔機能の維持やその障害の早期の回復が認知症の予防や改善につながる可能性を明らかにして、人々の健康の維持増進を図り、多職種連携のもとに社会に貢献することを目的とする。

Dementia and Oral Function (DOF)
Journal Policies: Purpose and Scope

Based on the founding objectives of the Society, the Dementia and Oral Function will accept and publish once a year the papers related to the following items.

1. Papers that contribute to the elucidation of the dynamics of the neural and cellular basis for the impairment or decline of oral function as a possible risk factor for dementia.
2. Papers that demonstrate the possibility that maintenance of oral function or early recovery of its impairment may lead to prevention or improvement of dementia.
3. Papers showing that maintenance of oral function and early recovery of its impairment can lead to maintenance and improvement of cognitive function and health through multidisciplinary collaboration.

編集方針： 目的と領域

本研究会の設立趣旨に基づき、認知症と口腔機能誌は次の項目に関連する論文を受け入れ、年に一回発行する。

1. 口腔機能の障害や低下が認知症の危険因子となり得る神経・細胞基盤の動態解明に寄与する論文
2. 口腔機能の維持やその障害の早期の回復が認知症の予防や改善につながる可能性を示した論文
3. 多職種連携のもと、口腔機能の維持やその障害の早期の回復が認知機能や健康の維持増進につながることを示した論文
